The 20's and 30's is an exciting time in our lives: new jobs, new friends, new locations. And it's often a time of big life transitions, too- dating, marriage, starting families and careers.
If you are looking for some stability and company in the midst of all that's going on in your life; if you are seeking friendship, fun, and a safe place to connect with God, then we invite you to be a part of YA.com, the young adult community at BUMC.
Who We Are
We are men and women, singles and couples, with kids and without, apartment dwellers and new home owners, just out of college and a few (or more) years into our careers, who come from Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, DC & beyond..
What We Do
...We Have Fun!
Theology on Tap - We play trivia once or twice a month; check back soon for our next date!
About once a month we get together for a fun activity- hay rides, cookouts, ice skating, pumpkin carving, hiking, Super Bowl gatherings, Sunday brunch...are just some of the things we have been up to.
Cooking and serving meals for local shelters, painting park benches on the National Mall, Christmas caroling for some of our homebound members, and participating in the Empty Bowls Supper are just a few of the ways we reach out into our community and join together to Wash More Feet. This month, we are getting a group toegether to volunteer at Jubilee Jobs, an organization that helps unemployed people to create resumes and practice interviewing skills. A group of us will head down to Jubilee Jobs at 9am on Saturday, March 29th. We'll volunteer for a few hours, and then grab lunch together. Contact Rev.Kara (email@example.com) for more information.
...We Study and Pray!
Stay tuned for our next YA Grace Group meeting...
